Commerce Cloud

Onboarding

How to get access to Commerce Cloud and what to expect from the onboarding process.

Getting started with Commerce Cloud begins with a conversation — not a sign-up form. Because every integration is slightly different, we want to understand your setup before we provision anything.

How to get access

Reach out to your Danoffice IT account manager or contact our sales team directly and ask for API access to Commerce Cloud. Let us know which services you're interested in — Orders, Events, or both.

From there, we'll schedule a short scoping call with our integration team.

What happens during onboarding

1. Scoping call

We'll review your current systems, order volumes, and integration requirements. No commitment needed at this stage — the goal is to make sure we understand your needs and can deliver on them.

2. Item number and invoice alignment

Before the integration is configured for your environment, we'll agree on the item numbers available through the API and confirm your setup. This is handled between your account manager and our team.

3. API access provisioned

Once everything is aligned, we'll issue your API key(s) and share access to our test environment. You'll receive an email from the platform with your API key, and the environment details.

4. Integration development

Your team builds the integration using this documentation. Our integration team is available during this phase to answer technical questions and review payloads if needed.

5. Testing

Test orders are placed against the test environment to validate the full flow — order placement, webhook delivery, and any error handling.

6. Go live

Production credentials are issued and the first live orders can be placed. We'll keep an eye on the early transactions together to make sure everything is working as expected.

What you need before you start

  • An existing customer relationship with Danoffice IT or the urge to get one
  • A system capable of making HTTPS REST API calls (ServiceNow, SAP, PowerPlatform, custom, etc.)
  • A developer or integration resource available to build and test the connection

Already a customer?

Contact your account manager directly and ask for Commerce Cloud API access. They'll get the process started.
